Let’s get this party started! On this #5MinuteMonday, get ready to kick off your best week yet!

On today’s episode we’re talking about why your brand is worth the investment. Whether you’re starting from scratch or have been a few years into business and feeling like something may be missing to put your best foot forward, this episode is for you. How many times have you thought to yourself, “I’m just starting out, branding and design isn’t a priority right now” or “I just don’t have a budget for this.”

You’re right if that’s what you’re thinking. Mindset is extremely powerful. But you need to shift that perspective. Branding is more than just your logo! It’s the strategy, emotion, and experience you create for your clients and customers along with the visual communications that really do impact the way people interact with your brand and ultimately increase your sales.

Stop to think about this for a second.

Imagine if…. Your branding was like a house.

It’s one of your biggest assets you own.

It’s your own property and is extremely valuable.

As you invest in your new house, throughout the years you may need to do some repairs. At that stage if it’s not in tip top shape, you want to ensure that you’ve invested in a strong foundation to your house.

At that stage, you have ✌️ options:

1.) You had strong foundations so you just have to renovate a few tweaks to get it pristine

2.) The foundation was weak so you have to knock it all down to start from scratch again and rebuild completely I encourage you to ask yourself: which would you choose? When you put branding to the backburner, you’re holding your business back. Yes, your brand will evolve with you over time but with what you currently have, could it be better? Is it performing or communicating the results you’re truly desiring? With the messaging you’re putting out, you could be speaking directly to the wrong audience instead of those dreamy clients and customers you’re looking for. When you invest at the start when there are major shifts inside your business or in the economy to reflect your values, you’re setting up your business for the most success moving forward. As a business owner, I understand that you have big goals and dreams to impact this world with. And you’re pulled in many directions of what to best invest in to get the most return at this stage and scenario. What I’ve found is that those who are breaking out and doubling down with other avenues and streams of income are really able to go from surviving to thriving during these times. The importance of a professional, consistent, and cohesive digital presence is more important than ever that can support your physical programming once we’re able to get back to that. You put so much dedication, value, and expertise into your work. Isn’t it about time you find someone who can do the same for you too? Wouldn’t you want to optimize your chances to help more people and grow a new stream of lead generation that will lead to more sales in your business? Here are 5 branding and design myths to debunk to best understand that branding is worth your investment. 1 - ❌ Branding is only your logo

Think holistically. Your branding involves multiple touch points and interactions both internally, externally & visually/experientially.

.

2- ❌ Branding is expensive

This isn’t completely wrong but it will cost you much more down the road if you don’t invest properly at the beginning stages to create a strong and clear foundation. First impressions do count for something! Your brand is what people say when you’re not in the room and you’re paying for how your story is communicated.

3 - ❌ Branding is only for big companies

They may have more resources to bring their vision to life, but you may need it more at these early stages! Your story matters. In your industry, the reality is that you’re competing for the same pool of money. And you need to stand out as the #1 choice to your dream clients and branding can help you do that.

4 - ❌ Branding is easy to DIY Let’s face it, when you take a quick glance as you stop your scroll, you see the end result of a more polished and refined graphic. What isn’t shown is the time, dedication, research, numerous iterations and reflection throughout the process. How would you rather be spending your time?

5 - ❌ Branding is only done by your hired designer While not completely wrong, a good designer will learn to guide and understand you and your business. It’s important to note that your personal preferences may not be reflective of your company’s personality trait or values and that asking your best friend for their opinion of your logo isn’t always the best fit unless they are indeed your dream client or customer. Ask the right people and the right designer will help you get the most out of your brand identity. It is a collaborative process so the clearer you are on your vision will be extremely helpful to the outcome of how your designer can bring your vision to life. That vision is your dream coming to reality. Isn’t your branding worth more than a DIY quickie? Or endless late night hacking your website together? When we’re so dependent on a strong digital presence to stand out from the crowd, these impressions will make a lasting impact. You and your brand are worth investing in!
