Colleen Stevenson is the founder of Choose Your University where she is an education-focused business owner serving students and families with specialized programs and learning resources. We originally developed her brand identity together through a half-day VIP Design Day a few years ago, which she successfully carried across her marketing materials, brand photography, and social media. However, her website no longer matched the strength of her brand. It felt dated, homemade, and difficult to maintain, with inconsistent pages and poor mobile experience that she could not fix on her own.
the challenge?
The biggest challenge was modernization and usability. Her existing website looked outdated and chaotic in structure, with scattered webinar and product information and too many steps for users to find what they needed. She didn’t have the time or energy to rebuild it herself and knew that attempting it would take days of frustration and technical struggle.
my unique approach & solution
We returned to collaborate through a second VIP Design Day, this time focused on translating her established brand identity into a polished, modern, and user-friendly website. In one intensive session, I handled the heavy lifting helping redesign the site structure, elevating the visuals, improving mobile experience, and creating clear product and services pathways to reduce friction and steps for her clients.
The result?
The result was a sleek, professional, and cohesive website aligned with her brand identity system, easy for her to update independently, and built to support growth. Following launch, she successfully introduced new offerings and secured new partnerships — finally completing a long-delayed project quickly, beautifully, and without the technical headache.
